Body Cemetery

Just beyond the edge of town, where Woodland gently fades into open fields and slow-moving clouds, lies Body Cemetery – our local resting place, forever holding steady on the outskirts like a patient old friend. It doesn’t host many events, there’s no gift shop, and no one’s posted a selfie from there (yet). But it’s peaceful, permanent, and proudly part of the village’s history.

🌾 Outskirts Location, End-of-the-Road Vibes

Situated just far enough from Main Street to feel appropriately solemn, Body Cemetery offers a panoramic view of cornfields and eternity. It’s a short drive, a long pause, and a gentle reminder that not much in Woodland moves quickly — including the residents here.

You won’t find fancy gates or marble statues, but you will find generations of names you’ve probably heard at least once at the post office.

🪦 A Place of Rest, Reflection, and Remarkable Stillness

Body Cemetery isn’t flashy, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s well cared for, quietly dignified, and home to many of Woodland’s original residents. And by “original,” we mean “their great-grandkids are still around, running the chili cook-off.”

If you’re into history, peace, or reading headstones to pass the time, it’s a good spot. If you’re into noise, chaos, or being in a hurry, may we suggest literally anywhere else?

Come As You Are, Stay Forever

Body Cemetery might not get a lot of foot traffic, but it’s as much a part of Woodland as the firehouse or the Pop Machine – just a bit quieter. Whether you’re visiting a loved one, reflecting on small-town roots, or just taking the scenic way out of town, Body Cemetery is there – still, steady, and not going anywhere.
