Woodland Post Office

If Woodland had a town square (we don’t), the Post Office would be the anchor. Not because it’s the busiest building in town, but because it’s one of the only ones that’s open during daylight hours.

Proudly located just off Main Street and conveniently adjacent to the economic titan that is the Woodland Pop Machine, the Woodland Post Office is where formality meets fluorescent lighting.

🕒 Hours You Can Count On (Because They Never Change)

Unlike most things in Woodland, the Post Office hours are actually consistent – impressively limited, but consistent. You’ll always know exactly when it’s closed, because it’s almost always closed.

Swing by between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on a weekday and you just might catch it open.

Want to do some mailing on a weekend? The Woodland Post Office is open Saturdays from 9am-12pm.

Sundays? Closed. Federal holiday? Definitely closed.

But hey – reliable is reliable.

And oh yeah – if you have a mail emergency, call the Watseka Post Office at 815-432-4628.

✉️ Services

At the Woodland Post Office, we offer all the essentials:

Stamps, for the three people who still send physical mail.

PO Boxes, mostly for aesthetic.

Package pickup, provided you remember to bring ID, tracking number, and divine patience.

And of course, the occasional friendly-but-firm small-town stare from whoever’s working behind the counter.

Need a passport? Sorry, try Watseka. Need change for a $20? Also Watseka. But need to overhear someone’s third retelling of last week’s tractor incident? We’ve got you covered.

🏤 The Social Hub (By Default)

The Post Office doubles as Woodland’s unofficial community center, a space where conversations about the weather, road salt, and “what they’re doing with that old house on the corner” thrive year-round. It’s the only place in town where you might bump into someone who isn’t related to you or selling sweet corn.

🕰️ A True Test of Patience and Character

Much like everything else in Woodland, the pace is deliberate. If you’re used to Amazon Prime, buckle up. Mail arrives when it arrives. And tracking numbers? They’re more like polite suggestions.

Stop In. We’re Not Going Anywhere.

Next time you need a stamp, a quiet place to lean on a counter, or just a chance to feel productive while accomplishing very little – swing by the Woodland Post Office!
